The work “Your” is a project by artist Deng Yufeng, created in Chinese cities with day laborers who rely on finding temporary jobs for their livelihood. The artist offers a 'day of work' and a 'day of pay' to those who fail to secure work for the day and become the 'leftover' workers.
He invited ten people in total and signed a labor contract with them (day laborers are typically paid at the end of the day and do not have contracts). The artist himself, along with nine day laborers on shared bikes, wander through city streets and alleyways without a fixed destination. They whistle as they move, drifting together in a slow, relaxed, collective way, using sound to mark their presence in urban space.
